Amy Hamberry was working in the New York Naturals health food store owned by her and her husband when she started wondering why they couldn't get a good supply of the hot new item: kale chips. She decided it was time for New York to have its own kale chips, and started making them and selling them in the New York Naturals store on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn. With plenty of feedback from customers, she eventually created a delicious chip that is now sold in more than 50 stores in New York City and on the East Coast as well as online.

The chips did so well that Amy and Joe decided to shut down the retail store in order to focus on kale chip production, opening a facility at the Monti Building in Brooklyn, a 100 year old warehouse with one of the country's largest solar installations on the roof.

New York Naturals Kale Chips have gotten great reviews from everyone who has tried them, with rave notices in New York Magazine, Whole Living and a number of health focused sites. We make them by hand daily in our facility and ship them within a few days of being made, so they are always fresh and delicious.

Shipping

New York Naturals uses UPS for all shipping within the United States. Shipping charges for US packages are calculated automatically in the shopping cart and vary by weight.

Canadian shipments are sent UPS standard and the shipping fee is based on weight. The shipping fee to Canada is not automatically calculated in the store when you check out. If you place an order from Canada, you will receive an email regarding your shipping fees which will be charged upon shipment. There will be a $10.00 surcharge in addition to shipping for all Canada shipments. This fee will cover any taxes or duties so that you will not be responsible for any additional fees once your package arrives to your door.

International shipments are not automatically calculated in the store. Shipping charges will be added for all International shipments.

No Minimum Order Requirement!

New York Naturals has no minimum order requirement. Feel free to order a sampler.

Sales Tax

Sales tax will only be assessed for orders that are shipped within the state of New York. This is due to the fact that our store is in Brooklyn, NY. All other states and countries are tax-exempt. New York State does not charge sales tax for food items.
